# Google Shopping API guide

## Choose a Google Shopping operation

Start with the object your task needs. The groups below use the current catalogue; open an endpoint to check accepted identifiers, filters, price and availability before retrieving.

### Reviews and offers

- [Google Shopping deals](https://www.monocrawl.com/docs/endpoints/google_shopping/deals) — Discounted products for a query on Google Shopping with sale and original price, discount and store.

- [Google Shopping reviews](https://www.monocrawl.com/docs/endpoints/google_shopping/reviews) — Retrieve product reviews from Google Shopping. Reviewer details and source review IDs can be absent. Slow results return HTTP 202 with task_id and status_url; poll that URL at zero retrieval credits. The original task is charged once and terminal failures are refunded. Requested depth remains subject to available source capacity.

- [Google Shopping sellers](https://www.monocrawl.com/docs/endpoints/google_shopping/sellers) — Retrieve Google Shopping merchant offers with source-reported prices and currency. Base price and total price are separate; missing amounts remain unknown. Slow results return HTTP 202 with task_id and status_url; poll that URL at zero retrieval credits. The original task is charged once and terminal failures are refunded.

- [Google Shopping store reviews](https://www.monocrawl.com/docs/endpoints/google_shopping/store-reviews) — Shopper reviews of an online store as shown on Google Shopping, with rating, text, author and date.

### Posts and media

- [Google Shopping price history](https://www.monocrawl.com/docs/endpoints/google_shopping/price-history) — Available historical prices by store for a Google Shopping product in the requested country. Current offer prices and store URLs may be absent; use google_shopping/sellers for current offers. Returns available histories in one response; coverage varies by product and country.

### Products and categories

- [Google Shopping product](https://www.monocrawl.com/docs/endpoints/google_shopping/product) — One Google Shopping product with its description, images, specification and rating. Queued task.

### Search and discovery

- [Google Shopping search](https://www.monocrawl.com/docs/endpoints/google_shopping/search) — Products for a query on Google Shopping with seller, price, currency and rating. Prepared as a queued task; a retry within fifteen minutes picks up the same result.

## Check fields and collection limits

Use the endpoint’s declared parameters and returned continuation. Filters from another platform do not automatically apply here. Preserve source identifiers, URLs and warnings; a successful page does not establish complete history. Published response schemas identify whether they come from a reviewed shaper or observed response shapes.

Agents can use `get_endpoint` for the current contract and `get_docs` with topic `platforms/google_shopping` to read this page. The [coverage guide](https://www.monocrawl.com/docs/data-availability) explains nulls and partial results, and the [production guide](https://www.monocrawl.com/docs/production-checklist) covers budgets and recovery.

**Cost:** 2 credits at list price per successful uncached response; variable-cost operations may quote or settle a different charge. Confirmed uncharged or refunded failures report zero. Pending reconciliation can report credits_used:null; retain request_id and the original idempotency key.

```bash
curl "https://www.monocrawl.com/v1/google_shopping/deals?query=laptop" \
  -H "x-api-key: mn_your_key_here"
## google_shopping/reviews
`GET /v1/google_shopping/reviews`
Retrieve product reviews from Google Shopping. Reviewer details and source review IDs can be absent. Slow results return HTTP 202 with task_id and status_url; poll that URL at zero retrieval credits. The original task is charged once and terminal failures are refunded. Requested depth remains subject to available source capacity.
*Google Shopping reviews*
| Parameter | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `language` | no | Language code — e.g. `en` |
| `limit` | no | Requested reviews, 1–100 (default 20). Available source capacity can limit the maximum request. If no funded source can serve the requested depth, the API refuses it without a charge and reports the available limit; it does not silently reduce your request. — e.g. `20` |
| `dry_run` | no | Read a zero-credit estimate without fetching sources, running AI, or reserving credits. Cache status is a snapshot, not a guarantee at execution. Accepted values: 1, 0, true, false. Case, spaces, hyphens and underscores are interchangeable. — e.g. `1` |
### Useful optional inputs
## google_shopping/search
`GET /v1/google_shopping/search`
| Parameter | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `query` | yes | Search terms — e.g. `noise cancelling headphones` |
| `location` | no | Location name — e.g. `United Kingdom` |
| `language` | no | Language code — e.g. `en` |
| `limit` | no | Results, up to 100 — e.g. `20` |
| `dry_run` | no | Read a zero-credit estimate without fetching sources, running AI, or reserving credits. Cache status is a snapshot, not a guarantee at execution. Accepted values: 1, 0, true, false. Case, spaces, hyphens and underscores are interchangeable. — e.g. `1` |
### Useful optional inputs
- `limit`: Bound the returned rows to what your task needs. A smaller limit does not necessarily reduce source calls or price; inspect the quote.
- `cursor`: Continue the same source traversal with the complete returned cursor. Saved-result retrieval and a new source page can have different prices; quote the next call.
- `dry_run`: Read a free estimate before fetching sources or scheduling paid work. Zero credits; cache status and availability are snapshots rather than guarantees.
