Can I get alerts when something changes on Pillar?

Yes. A Monocrawl monitor checks Pillar on your schedule and compares each check with the last, so you hear about link and profile changes rather than the same results again.

Do I need a Pillar account?

No. Monitors read public Pillar data through your Monocrawl key. You do not need a Pillar login or API access.

How far back does a Pillar monitor go?

A monitor starts from its first check and reports what changes after that. It does not backfill older data; use the Pillar API for that.

How often can a Pillar monitor run, and what does it cost?

Every 15 minutes, hourly, every 6 or 12 hours, daily or weekly. Watching Pillar page costs 1 credit a check: about 30 credits a month daily, 720 credits hourly. Every account gets 1,000 free credits a month, and a cap on each monitor keeps spending predictable.

Do I need to write code?

No. Build a monitor in the dashboard and send alerts to Slack, Discord or a webhook. If you prefer code, monitors are also available through the API and MCP.
