  • Low-rating and complaint filters
  • Structured review exports

The workflow

Connect the stores. Focus on what is new.

  1. 01

    Add your app

Connect the App Store listing and Google Play package in one monitor. Choose how often to check and set your credit cap.

  2. 02

    Set the starting point

The first check records the existing batch as your baseline, so old reviews do not flood your alerts.

  3. 03

    Act on new feedback

Review new findings together. Focus on complaints and low ratings, export the records or send alerts to your team.

App review monitoring recipe

Beyond the individual review

See what changed after a release.

Exports contain structured review data ready for analysis in your existing tools. Compare periods, spot a rating shift and return to the feedback behind it.

Synthetic seven-day samples, not Spotify’s actual ratings or release history. This comparison shows analysis you can build from exports—not the app’s overall store rating. A change after an update does not establish its cause.

From feedback to follow-up

Bring low-star feedback to the team.

Choose the complaints filter to focus on low ratings and matching phrases. Send new findings to a configured destination.

Your first check sets the baseline. Subsequent checks can send new findings; they do not re-send the existing batch.

Sources and availability

Connect App Store and Google Play listings in one app-review monitor. Google Maps business reviews use a separate local-review setup. Check current source availability in the builder before activation.

What to keep in mind

Monocrawl monitors newly available reviews from each supported store. Historical availability depends on the source. Each check covers the batch returned by the store, not necessarily every review published between checks. Dates and app versions are included in source data when supplied.

Questions, answered

About review monitoring.

Can I monitor App Store and Google Play reviews together?

Yes. Add the App Store app ID and Android package name to one app-review monitor. Both supported stores can contribute to the same findings feed. The builder shows availability and the cost of checking your selected sources.

Will the first check alert me about every old review?

No. The first check establishes your baseline from the existing batch. Later checks surface previously unseen reviews, so you can focus on new feedback. The baseline check is charged at the normal check price.

Can I get alerts for low-star app reviews?

Yes. The complaints filter includes reviews rated one or two stars, as well as matching complaint phrases. New findings can go to configured Slack, Discord or webhook destinations; email requires email delivery to be enabled. A low rating is a signal to investigate, not a complete sentiment analysis.

Can I export reviews for rating or version analysis?

Yes. Exports contain structured review data ready for analysis in your existing tools. Compare the records your monitor has collected, using source dates and app versions where supplied. The export is not a complete history of every store review.
