Not one you can sign up for. Indeed’s partner docs list APIs for employers and ATS platforms to post and manage jobs, and publishers show Indeed jobs through a JavaScript plugin that only Indeed partners can use, at most 20 jobs at a time. Indeed considers partnerships case by case. For public Indeed postings, Monocrawl searches Indeed in a country by keyword, location and radius, and Apify, Bright Data, HasData and Oxylabs also read Indeed.
Is there a free job search API?
Adzuna, Careerjet and USAJOBS issue keys for their own listings and publish no price, each with its own rules: Adzuna’s default key allows 250 calls a day, Careerjet needs each visitor’s IP address and user agent, and USAJOBS covers federal jobs only. For job board data, Monocrawl gives 1,000 credits every month, Bright Data 5,000 records a month, HasData 1,000 credits a month, TheirStack 200 API credits a month, PredictLeads 100 API credits a month and Apify $5 of usage a month. SearchApi gives 100 free requests, Oxylabs a trial of up to 2,000 results, JobsPikr a 7-day trial and jobdata API rate-limited testing without a key.
What is the difference between a job data API and a job postings database?
A data API returns a job board’s listings per request: Monocrawl searches Indeed, LinkedIn, Bing’s job listings and Xing, and returns full postings. A job postings database collects postings in advance and keeps history: TheirStack back to 2021, JobsPikr from 2019, PredictLeads since 2016 and jobdata API from January 2023. TheirStack also adds the hiring company’s domain, industry and size to each job.
Can I get salary data through a job API?
Yes, in two forms. Many options return the salary a posting shows, including Adzuna, Careerjet, TheirStack, JobsPikr, PredictLeads, jobdata API, Apify, HasData and SearchApi, and Monocrawl returns it on Xing postings. Monocrawl also returns yearly, monthly, weekly, daily and hourly salary bands for a job title in a country, and Adzuna returns average salaries over time and the current spread of salaries.
Can I show listings from a job API on my own job board?
It depends on each source’s terms. Adzuna asks for a “Jobs by Adzuna” label on every listing you show. USAJOBS asks you to credit it and send users to USAJOBS to apply, and bars redistributing its data as a standalone feed. Indeed’s plugin shows jobs that link back to Indeed. jobdata API says it needs no attribution or backlinks, and TheirStack publishes a guide to backfilling a job board.
Which job APIs work with AI agents?
Monocrawl, TheirStack, PredictLeads, Apify, HasData and SearchApi publish their own MCP servers with job tools, so assistants such as Claude or Cursor can call them directly. Bright Data’s MCP server has a job tool for LinkedIn job URLs only, and the Oxylabs MCP server has only a general scraping tool.

How we compared.
What’s includedIndeed’s own partner APIs and the job search APIs of Adzuna, Careerjet and USAJOBS, plus job data APIs and job postings databases that come up across job posting API searches and comparison lists, document their API publicly and publish their pricing or offer a trial.
What we comparedWhat each vendor publishes about its job data, pricing, free allowance and access, read on its own pages. “Best” here means worth comparing, not a ranking from tests: we have not run their APIs.
