G2’s developer page says you can get started with 1,000 API calls a month through its Developer Portal. Its plans list reviews API access only on Professional and Enterprise, both priced through its sales team, and Buyer Intent is an add-on. For public G2 data, most data APIs let you start free: Monocrawl gives 1,000 credits every month, Bright Data 5,000 records a month, Apify $5 of usage a month, ScrapingBee 1,000 credits, Piloterr 500 credits and Outscraper 100 reviews a month.
Can G2’s own API read competitors’ reviews?
Yes, on G2’s Enterprise package. G2 says its Market Intelligence data covers any competitor listed in your product’s Competitors panel, not just your own product, through its API and MCP server. Its Professional plan lists API access to your own reviews. Monocrawl and the other data APIs here read any product’s public G2 reviews with an API key.
How do I get G2 buyer intent data?
From G2 itself: Buyer Intent is an add-on to G2’s plans, and G2 says these signals are only available from G2. They cover activity on your profile, category, comparison and competitor pages, and reach your tools through the G2 API and G2’s MCP server, including its HubSpot and Gong integrations.
Do I need a G2 account to use a data API?
Not with Monocrawl: you send your Monocrawl API key with a G2 product slug or URL and get public data back, with no G2 login and no G2 plan. G2’s own API needs a G2 account and an access token from its Developer Portal, and its review syndication needs an API key from your G2 representative.
Which G2 APIs return the reviewer’s role and company size?
Monocrawl returns each reviewer’s role, company size and industry, and filters reviews by stars, segment, industry, role, region and keywords. Bright Data lists the reviewer’s job position and company size, Wextractor their role and company size, Apify company size and industry codes, and Piloterr industry and company size. G2’s own API filters your products’ reviews by company segment, industry and role, and its Data Solutions reviews API lists 55 fields per review.
Which G2 APIs work with AI agents?
Monocrawl, Apify, Outscraper and Piloterr publish their own MCP servers with tools that reach their G2 data, so assistants such as Claude or Cursor can call them directly. Bright Data, Decodo, ScraperAPI and ScrapingBee also publish MCP servers, but with no G2 tool: their general scraping tools return the page. G2’s own MCP server connects Claude, ChatGPT and partner tools to the buyer intent, review and competitor data in your G2 subscription.

What’s includedG2’s own API, review syndication and Data Solutions, plus data and scraping APIs that list G2 reviews, products or pages on their own pages, publish their pricing or offer a trial, and come up across G2 API searches and comparison lists.
