Rightmove’s APIs are for its members. Its Real Time Datafeed lets estate agents’ feed providers add, update and remove listings, and request reports on their own branches’ listings, leads and performance. Rightmove Data Services sells its automated valuation model, comparables and risk alerts, with API access, to lenders, surveyors and investors. For public listings, a data API needs only a key: with Monocrawl you send a postcode, town or listing number and get Rightmove data back.
Is there a Zoopla API?
Not a public one for listings. Zoopla’s developer site says its listings API is no longer publicly available, and asks businesses with a commercial need to get in touch. Its member APIs deliver leads and activate premium listings for agents, and agency software sends listings to Zoopla through a feed. Hometrack, Zoopla’s sister company, sells Zoopla’s sales and rental listings data in batch files. Monocrawl, Apify and Bright Data return public Zoopla listings through their APIs.
Is there a free UK house price API?
HM Land Registry’s Price Paid Data is free under the Open Government Licence: residential sales in England and Wales since 1995, as monthly downloads, a report builder or linked data with a SPARQL endpoint. The EPC register’s API is free with a GOV.UK One Login account. For listings and valuations, most data APIs let you start free: Monocrawl gives 1,000 credits every month, Bright Data 5,000 records a month, Apify $5 of usage a month, Decodo 2,000 requests a month, ScrapingBee 1,000 credits and Street Data £50 of credit. PropertyData and PaTMa offer 14-day trials with 500 credits.
Can I use Land Registry and EPC data in a commercial product?
Yes, within their address terms. HM Land Registry permits commercial or non-commercial use of Price Paid Data under the Open Government Licence, but its address fields come from Royal Mail and Ordnance Survey, who permit them for personal or non-commercial use and for residential price information services; for other uses, you contact Royal Mail. The EPC register licenses every field except addresses and postcodes under the same licence, and its address data may be used only for purposes tied to energy performance unless you hold an Ordnance Survey licence.
Which UK property APIs work with AI agents?
Monocrawl, Apify and PropertyData publish their own MCP servers with property tools, so assistants such as Claude or Cursor can call them directly; PropertyData’s is in beta. Bright Data’s, Decodo’s and ScrapingBee’s MCP servers have no Rightmove or Zoopla tool: their general scraping tools return the pages.
Can I get house price estimates through an API?
Yes. Monocrawl returns Zoopla’s current sale and rent estimates for an address or UPRN, with their range and confidence, the estimate’s history and the Land Registry sales. PropertyData and Street Data run their own valuation models, and for lending, Rightmove Data Services and Hometrack sell automated valuations by contract.
