Amazon API guide
Find products, inspect a listing and read its available reviews or seller offers. Keep the marketplace consistent throughout a comparison.
Quickstart
Start with Amazon
Find products, inspect a listing and read its available reviews or seller offers. Keep the marketplace consistent throughout a comparison.
These requests use your API key and can spend credits. Check the current price on the endpoint page; each new page is a separate request. Later examples use illustrative identifiers: replace them with values from your earlier response.
1. Find a product
Take the chosen product’s ASIN from the search results. Do not match products only by title. Parameters and current cost →
curl "https://www.monocrawl.com/v1/amazon/search?query=standing%20desk&country=GB" \ -H "x-api-key: mn_your_key_here"
2. Read the listing
Replace the example ASIN with your selected result and keep the same country. Check price, currency, variant and availability together. Parameters and current cost →
curl "https://www.monocrawl.com/v1/amazon/product?asin=B0CHX3QBCH&country=GB" \ -H "x-api-key: mn_your_key_here"
3. Read customer feedback
Use the same ASIN and marketplace. The returned reviews are a source-defined sample, not a promise of all reviews. Parameters and current cost →
curl "https://www.monocrawl.com/v1/amazon/reviews?asin=B0CHX3QBCH&country=GB" \ -H "x-api-key: mn_your_key_here"
Filters and coverage
Choose filters with the source behavior in mind
| Control | Behavior and limits |
|---|---|
| Marketplace precedence | country wins over location; otherwise an Amazon input URL can select its marketplace. With no selector the default is GB. Keep the resolved marketplace on every search, product, reviews and sellers call; an ASIN alone does not select the US store. Endpoint reference → |
| Search controls | query, department, language and marketplace control discovery; limit is at most 100. Search results are not guaranteed to have all product-detail fields. Open the chosen ASIN before depending on variants, availability or seller information. Endpoint reference → |
| Review depth | sort accepts helpful or recent; limit is at most 100. This route has no public cursor parameter: do not invent a page number or assume that the sample covers every review. Dates can be source text rather than ISO timestamps. Endpoint reference → |
| Comparable prices | Compare price together with currency, condition, delivery text and seller. A listing amount is not a checkout quote and does not guarantee tax, delivery charges, stock or variant availability. Endpoint reference → |
| Ratings | rating is an object with value, votes and max when available. A product’s aggregate rating and an individual review’s star rating describe different populations; preserve both the scale and sample size. Endpoint reference → |
Source availability, ordering and field coverage can change. Inspect warnings and partial-result metadata alongside the rows. See runnable workflows, metric semantics, computed fields and the pagination matrix.
Choose an endpoint
Match the operation to your task
| Your task | Endpoint | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Compare offers for one product | sellers | Keep condition, delivery and seller details alongside price. |
| Inspect a seller | seller | A seller record has a different identifier from a product ASIN. |
| Explore a category | best-sellers | Check the endpoint’s category and marketplace parameters. |
| Find promotions | deals | An observed offer is not a checkout-price guarantee. |
Explore all documented operations by purpose below. Each endpoint reference contains its accepted parameters and current price.

Operations
Amazon
Each row is a registry operation: expand it for parameters, a curl built from the registry's own examples, and a Markdown copy of the whole entry. The badge on the right is the operation's state, read at request time — we publish all three rather than rounding up. Recorded proof is historical, not a guarantee of current availability.
- live · proven
- a real upstream response has been served through this API and recorded
- wired · unproven
- a real-data route is registered, but qualifying proof is absent; permission or capacity restrictions may apply
- sample · free
- no live upstream — /v1 refuses it, /sandbox returns a marked sample
